The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) recently held its annual
meeting on November 2, 2005 at the Northwest Georgia Trade and
Convention Center. Prior to the meeting, the CRI Board of
Directors held their annual nomination committee meeting and
President of J&J Industries Inc., Jim Bethel was tapped as the
new CRI Chairman of the Board for 2006.
J&J Industries’, Chairman and CEO, Jim Jolly stated, “We at
J&J Industries are pleased that our President, Jim Bethel, has
been elected to Chair the Board of Directors of the Carpet and
Rug Institute. Jim Bethel’s volunteer leadership sets a
high standard for all of us at J&J Industries and continues to
keep our company well represented throughout our industry and
community.”
Headquartered in Dalton, Georgia, The Carpet and Rug
Institute is the national trade association representing the
carpet and rug industry. The CRI conducts the business of the
Carpet Industry in areas of Research, Environmental Solutions,
Government Relations and overall promotion of the carpet
industry and its products. CRI’s membership consists of
manufacturers representing over 90% of all carpet produced in
the United States, as well as suppliers of raw materials and
services to the industry.
