Introducing an innovative way to sample carpet from J&J / Invision – uDESIGNnow™ – a visionary solution to reduce custom sampling by creating a digital toolbox that makes specifying faster, less costly and less taxing on the environment. uDESIGNnow is a new online tool which was designed and created by Tricycle Inc. The technology gives J&J / Invision customers the ability to browse patterns, use standard colorways or create custom colors of selected styles. This innovative tool allows the user to immediately see on their screen exactly what the product is going to look like – either as a swatch or dropped into a room scene.

After browsing and modifying products, customers can save or order their creations as a Tryk®. Tryk is the brand name for three-dimensional paper simulations of patterns or room scenes created on uDESIGNnow. These simulations dynamically mimic the carpet manufacturing process, enabling users to create a photo-realistic, digital or paper print sample of an interior surface.

A Tryk replaces physical carpet in the early rounds of product selection, leading to less physical samples, and therefore less waste carpet at the end of a design project. This means that the design workflow can be as eco-conscious as the project, as well as faster. uDESIGNnow ensures that the images will arrive 24-48 hours after the order is placed, thus allowing for faster response to clients, and in the end, a faster final decision.

Customers may use the designs as is or work with their J&J / Invision sales representative to customize the pattern with different colors, yarn systems and constructions to ensure the final product fits the specified budget.
