J&J in 1957

J. Rollins Jolly and Thomas R. Jones form J&J Rugs. The company begins with 15 employees. Rugs and candy striped carpet are the sole products for the first few years.

 

 

 

J&J Rugs becomes J&J Industries and now focuses exclusively on the manufacturing of commercial carpet.

 

 

By this time, J&J has had 5 plant expansions and has increased production 5-fold.

 

 

Ground breaking for new 110,000 sq. ft. plant and office facilities.

   

J&J in 1974

An additional 110,000-sq. ft. facility is added, which almost doubles the size of a company already committed to exclusively manufacturing commercial carpet.

J&J becomes one of the first to extrude polypropylene fiber. It is called Praxis.*

J&J Industries introduces Commercialon SDN. We are one of the first carpet manufacturers to extrude nylon fiber.

 

 

J&J in 1993

In an effort to target the high-end commercial market, J&J Industries acquires Invision Carpet Systems.

 

 

The addition of a new yarn processing facility plays an integral part in the role of establishing J&J Industries as a vertical carpet manufacturer.

 

 

 

J&J Industries celebrates 40 years of success in the commercial carpet market. This success includes 17 acres of building on a 33-acre campus with over 800 associates.

 

 

J&J Industries officially launches EnAct®, a corporate environmental action initiative. J&J's extruded nylon, branded Encore® SD Ultima® now contains a minimum of 15% recycled nylon.**

   

The 10th building phase begins, putting a total of 20 acres of manufacturing facilities and office space under roof.

   

J&J Commercial and Invision Carpet Systems, two of the industry's most specified carpet brands, combined sales teams to become J&J / Invision:  a single source solution in the commercial carpet industry. 

   

J&J Industries launches a new line of modular carpet tile with Nexus™ vinyl backing.  Both J&J Commercial and Invision Carpet Systems offer modular carpet products.

   

J&J Industries become co-owner of the newly formed Modular Carpet Systems, LLC.  Modular Carpet Systems, LLC manufactures and applies modular carpet backing which allows J&J to continue expanding our modular carpet offerings.

   
 

J&J Industries celebrates 50th Anniversary!  Fifty successful years in the commercial carpet market!
